I have specialized FOR 24 YEARS in genetic selection of pure gene lines for specific improvements, such as color & body form in each gene line and then cross these gene lines to produce f-1 male hybrids that grow 3 times faster than non f-1 hybrids. We have ten gene lines now 5 of which are pure (uncontaminated by any other gene line). Two t. mossambica gene lines which carry xx chromosomes in the female, and two t. nilotica gene lines that carry xx chromosomes in the female and one t. hornorum gene line that carries ZZ chromosomes in the male. All of the first four produce 100% male hybrids with the t. hornorum. In addition we have 3 red gene lines, 2 t. mossambica and one t. aurea, a white gene line t. aurea, and one new gene line of red t. mossambica which produces all male f-1 hybrids.We sell a colony of 62 breeders, 50 orange mossambica and 12 male t. hornorum to produce Pennyfish* for $1, 998.00 plus freight and handling cost that can produce up to 250, 000 all male f-1 hybrids per year when bred according to our directions. |
